Wanted! talent

Our search for Belgian talent

Which Wanted!-bands will play at Couleur Café 2012?

For more than 7 years now, Couleur Café has been recruiting emerging Belgian artists through its Wanted! platform. 1599 groups and DJs have tried their luck so far. 64 of them have performed on one of our stages, some of them have become well known artists like Puggy and Selah Sue. This year, we received 368 applications from which 7 groups have been selected.
  • Sarah Ferri (Gent) is the name of a multi-talented young jazz singer with Italian origin and her band. Their first album will come out in April on the Universal label.
  • Asham meets Collieman (Gent): a surprising collaboration between Belgium’s best reggae talents. Their first album Same Blood came out last year on Majestic Records.
  • Opmoc (Brussels) are 6 young musicians who play skunk, an energetic mixture of funk, reggae, hiphop, salsa, punk, blues and ska. After having played in the streets of Mexico, Bélize, Guatemala and France, they’re sure to go down a storm at Couleur Café.
  • Kaer (Liège) has been living and breathing hiphop since he was 10 years old. In a former artistic life, he was the MC of Starflam. His first solo album Versatil (March 2012) is served up with a creamy tropical sauce.
  • Joshua Alo (Hawai/Brussels) was born with a ukulélé and a guitar in his hands on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. An unlikely mixture of gospel and reggae.
  • Sarah Carlier (Brussels) has been singing since childhood and has already been compared to Ayo. You might have heard her single Backstage, a foretaste of her album For Those Who Believe. Yes we do!
  • Madé J (Brussels) take their inspiration from Detroit garage rock, rockabilly and punk. Their first album Das Rumble is expected this year.

The chosen DJs will be announced at the end of March.
