DJ Pee .Wee aka Anderson .Paak, Protoje and more!
Less than 4 months until summer kicks off!
Two weeks after Greentea Peng, Lila Iké, ISHA & Limsa — and we're already back with 10 fresh names for this 35th edition… and the next batch isn’t far behind.
Friday will open with a statement. Nigerian-Dutch artist S!RENE will bring a restless hybrid of amapiano, afrobeat, hip-hop, R&B and dancehall to the stage, setting the tone for the weekend ahead. London-based DJ Lady Shaka will follow with sets shaped by her queer identity, Moana heritage and diasporic roots — a singular yet powerful sound all her own. Also on the bill, dub duo Soundboy Dead, who will bring more than two decades of stage experience and a commanding sonic range to the Dub Stage.
Saturday 27 June is shaping up to be one for the books. Nine-time Grammy winner and one half of the iconic Silk Sonic duo, Anderson .Paak will step behind the decks as his alter ego DJ Pee .Wee — and if his reputation is anything to go by, this will be one of the festival's most unforgettable moments.
Couleur Café favourite and reggae heavyweight, Protoje will be back this summer — with a brand new album, The Art of Acceptance, dropping in April. Swiss rapper Makala will bring the momentum of Yamoto to the stage — an album that has marked him out as one of the most exciting rising voices in the game. Belgian talent Drea Dury, who turned heads on the Niveau4 stage last year, will step up to headline her own stage this time, with a set spanning R&B, trap, Latin and afro sounds. Saturday will close on the Dub Stage with Hempress Sativa featuring Paolo Baldini Dubfiles, wrapping the night in reggae roots, dub, hip-hop and R&B.
On Sunday 28 June, Spice is bringing her dancehall crown to Brussels. Twenty years into a career marked by iconic collaborations with Sean Paul and Shaggy, and with her latest album Mirror 25 making waves internationally, the Queen of Dancehall is nowhere near done.
Finally, Davojah x JÇAO will fuse dub, reggae, cumbia and dancehall in a performance that promises to be both dancefloor-ready and unforgettable, along the same lines as Stand High Patrol and ASHKABAD, already confirmed for the day.
Joining Rema, Amaarae, Danny Ocean, Ezra Collective, Ruger, and other highlights, expect dub, dancehall, rap, reggae, Latin and Afro vibes, RnB, hip-hop… basically, a summer that’s already looking 🔥
